Nobl Closes Series A Funding Round and Prepares for Accelerated Growth

With help from Nelnet, Linseed Capital, the Nebraska Angels, and other strategic investors, Lincoln, Nebraska based Nobl has successfully completed their Series A funding round — positioning themselves for accelerated growth while allowing for significant new hires and novel software development. Nobl has doubled the size of their development team and has successfully hired additional client services, sales, and business development positions.

Perhaps one of the most important hires the Series A has allowed for is Nobl’s new Vice President of Business Development, Randy Smeal. Smeal brings 30 years of medical sales and sales management experience to the team. He has built relationships throughout the United States with numerous healthcare organizations, manufacturers, consultants, engineers, salespeople, and distributors. Smeal has worked for several national medical brands, including Kendall-Colgate, Zimmer, Synthes, Stryker, and Zeiss.

In addition to the new hires, the money raised will drive new product R&D and support the expansion of Nobl’s marketing and advertising efforts.

“We believe that nurses are the lifeblood of the hospital. Nurses spend the most time with patients and truly impact their clinical outcomes — this is why we see an immense opportunity in technology to aid in the delivery of care at the bedside,” states Katie Hottovy, Chief Marketing Officer.

This opportunity of technology-aided care has helped Nobl identify a number of new product avenues, the next of which will be launching in August of this year. This new offering will work in collaboration with their current Hourly Rounding platform, to provide even greater benefits to both patients and nursing staff.

With the round, Nobl is able to work faster than ever towards the goal of pioneering a future of safer healthcare delivery.
